On today’s episode Pastor Josh Gagnon will be answering leadership questions with Carey Nieuwhof, founding pastor of Connexus Community Church and author of “Leading Change Without Losing It” and “Lasting Impact.”

Some of the questions we answer in this episode include...

What are 3 big trends you’re seeing in the church today?

How do you get everything done?

Where do your ideas and content come from?

Takeaways for leaders:

Rather than driving attendance in our church, we should be driving engagement. What drives the numbers is more important than how big the numbers are. Because when your benchmark is more, you’re never satisfied. When we chase the more, we lose the reality of the one.

As a leader you must protect your time. Do what you can when you’re at your best. You can’t say yes to everything, so save yourself for the things you feel God has called you to.

Always look for inspiration from life experiences for message content. Ordinary, everyday life is full of potential illustrations! Have a good capture system (evernote, etc.) to log your ideas and stories. And remember, your bad ideas give birth to your good ideas.
