Thoughts from this episode:

Discouragement focuses on ME. Holy discontent focuses on HIM.

Discouragement says, “I don’t think I can make it.” Holy discontent says, “you can do all things.”

Discouragement shows what I’m not, holy discontent shows who He is and what He can accomplish.

Discouragement says, “I don’t know if I’m called.” Holy discontent says, “God will clarify your calling.”

What causes discouragement?

  1. FRUSTRATION

  2. Wrong FOCUS

  3. FAILURE

  4. FATIGUE

What do we do about it?

  1. Renew your mind (Romans 12:2)

  2. Refocus our heart (Revelation 2:4)

  3. Reschedule our life (Ephesians 5:15-16)

  4. Rejoice (James 1:2-4)

Don’t be entitled to ministry, be amazed by it.

Quotes:

“The fastest way to fall out of your calling is to chase someone else's.”

“Discouragement is the enemy. Holy Discontent is the blessing.”
